Pike & Gilliss, LLC, was established to allow us to bring our experience and
expertise together, in a smaller firm environment, to provide superior and cost-effective legal services to our clients. Our founding partners have received
Martindale Hubbell’s highest “AV” Preeminent Peer Review Ratings, and are recognized by the annual publication
Maryland Super Lawyers, America’s Best Lawyers, and Maryland’s “Top 50” recognition.
We represent some of the largest and most respected sureties, contractors, fidelity carriers and insurers in the country,
as well as smaller, collateralized sureties, start-up surety companies, subcontractors, suppliers and minority and disadvantaged business enterprises. Our
approach to representing our clients utilizes a balancing of two overriding concepts: avoiding problems, or resolving them amicably is always the first and best
option; but if these goals cannot be achieved, we possess a proven track-record as successful litigators. In addition, our attorneys are active contributors and
participants in the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, Mid-Atlantic Surety Association, Defense Research Institute, and Fidelity Law
Association.
