Pike & Gilliss, LLC was established in 2010 by Pat Pike & David Gilliss, who previously spent many years practicing in large, established Baltimore-based law firms.  Each has received Martindale Hubbell’s highest “AV” Preeminent Peer Review Rating, and has been recognized by the annual Maryland Super Lawyers, America’s Best Lawyers, and Maryland’s “Top 100” Lawyer publications. 

Pat and David joined together to bring their experience and expertise to a smaller firm environment, and have assembled a team of seasoned attorneys with similar backgrounds, skills, and recognitions.  Pike & Gilliss, LLC provides a range of legal services to its clients in the areas of construction law, surety law, fidelity law, insurance coverage, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation.  The combined knowledge, depth, and experience of the attorneys at Pike & Gilliss, LLC within our practice areas and at a firm of our size positions us to offer clients personal, practical, quality, and cost-effective representation.

The firm represents some of the largest and most respected sureties, businesses, contractors, fidelity carriers, and insurers in the country, as well as smaller businesses, collateralized sureties, start-up companies, subcontractors, and suppliers.  Our attorneys are also members and active contributors and participants in groups such the American Bar Association Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, Mid-Atlantic Surety Association, Defense Research Institute, Maryland State Bar Construction Law Section, and Fidelity Law Association.
